01

A welcoming first technology workshop

No previous experience is needed. We introduce one idea at a time, give children room to try it themselves and adapt the challenge to their confidence.

02

What happens in a workshop

Every 75-minute session follows a clear rhythm while leaving room for questions and unexpected discoveries.

  1. 01

    Meet the challenge

See the goal, handle the parts and predict what might happen.

  2. 02

    Build

Assemble a model, circuit or simple program with age-appropriate guidance.

  3. 03

    Test

Run it, observe closely and find what works or needs changing.

  4. 04

    Improve

Change one thing, test again and compare the result.

  5. 05

    Explain

Show the project and describe the idea behind it in the child’s own words.

03

Projects this group may explore

Wooden solar car

Wooden solar car

Wire a motor and solar panel, then compare light, friction and gearing.

Microscope discovery

Microscope discovery

Prepare a sample, focus carefully and record what is actually visible.

DNA and biological models

DNA and biological models

Build a DNA model, match base pairs and connect the structure to inheritance.

04

What children practise

  • Curiosity, observation and careful hands
  • Breaking a challenge into manageable steps
  • First coding, circuits, mechanisms and scientific measurement
  • Learning from mistakes without giving up
  • Explaining a project clearly and listening to teammates

AI

A first thoughtful look at AI

When AI fits the project, children use supervised, age-appropriate tools with capabilities similar to services such as ChatGPT or Claude. They learn to form a prompt, question an answer, notice that an output can be wrong or misleading, and use AI to express an idea—not as something to trust completely.
