Work at your pace. Take a break between stages; there is no countdown.
You need: paper, a pencil and this lab. A helper is welcome for reading and discussion.Connect to what you know
A plan needs a tool with a clear contract. Practise handling both useful data and failure.
Understand it, step by step
- 1
A tool has an input, an output and possible errors. Our weather tool takes a city and returns a labelled classroom scenario, not live weather.
- 2
Check the status before using the data. “Unavailable” is not “sunny”. An empty result must not become an invented forecast.
- 3
Choose a response that follows the evidence. A rainy scenario can support “take an umbrella”; a failed lookup supports “check another source with a helper”.
Input: Zug. Output: success, rain. Suggest an umbrella. Output: timeout. Say the lookup failed; do not reuse yesterday’s sun report as today’s result.
Pause and predict
What should the helper say when the tool times out?
