Work at your pace. Take a break between stages; there is no countdown.
You need: paper, a pencil and this lab. A helper is welcome for reading and discussion.Connect to what you know
You have designed games, systems and a product brief. Choose one everyday problem for your final invention.
Understand it, step by step
- 1
Start from an observation, not a favourite technology. Describe what a person is trying to do and where they struggle. Use an invented user or a role, not private details.
- 2
Generate three different solutions before choosing. A paper checklist, a two-screen guide and an automatic sensor are different approaches.
- 3
Choose a solution you can prototype safely here. Explain the trade-off: simpler to build, easier to understand or easier to test. Your final project will be a clickable two-screen guide.
Problem: a beginner forgets circuit checks. Ideas: printed checklist; clickable guide; automatic tester. Choose the guide because you can test its instructions now without electrical hardware.
